The Elks Lodge of Saddleback Valley/Mission Viejo was proud to hold their Annual Veterans Day BBQ on Saturday, November 7th.  Guests feasted on Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, coleslaw, and cake for dessert.  Roy Southerland donated his time to entertain the crowd with patriotic and military tunes representing each branch of the service. Veterans Committee Members Margie Paul and Sheryn Howlett sold raffle tickets for 10 beautiful baskets of which all proceeds went to benefit local Veterans.  In true Elks fashion, the meal was prepared and served by Lodge Volunteers, Kevin Lindley, Debby Lamb, Linda Cimmarusti, Julie Thomas, and Les Stepek.  Veterans Committee Chairwoman Sheryn Howlett thanked every volunteer for their dedication in putting together this event and ended her speech with “If you love your freedom, Thank a Veteran”

Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 celebrates 50 years of service to Saddleback Valley Communities.
